After-school Art Program (AAP)

learning values

Launched at Brightview Elementary School in 2014, AAP provides value-based art enrichment at various elementary schools in Edmonton. In our communities, not all children have access to extracurricular opportunities. Involvement in extracurricular activities can help children grow academically and socially1. As a community-orientated youth organization, we thought we could help children realize their potential by providing them access to these opportunities as well as mentorship in their own schools. Our goal with AAP is to socially connect children to the rest of their community with art. With the support of our AAP volunteer team, we engage local elementary school students to develop positive social values and skills while doing fun art activities.
